WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Gilmanton, NH
HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF?
Hardworking, laid back, and adventurous.
WHAT LED YOU TO WORKING WITH CAMP FIRE?
My desire to empower youth to have a voice and to be comfortable in their own skin. When a person is confident in their own abilities and wants to challenge themselves we see a real change in the community.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PART OF CAMP FIRE AND IN WHAT WAYS?
I have worked with Camp Fire in a couple different capacities. I worked as the Activities Coordinator in 2018 for SummerKids. I managed a COVID response program at Three Rivers School where we provided a place for kids to come and do virtual learning. Now I am the Teen Programs Manager. All in all I have been involved with Camp Fire Central Oregon for a few years now.
WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING WITH CAMP FIRE? HOW DOES IT IMPACT YOU? OR FEED YOU?
I like the supportive environment that Camp Fire establishes. The leadership team is always sharing stories about personal sparks and getting out and living the ideals that Camp Fire upholds.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF "CAMP”?
My favorite part of camp is the friendships that are formed. I love seeing kids and teens having shared experiences in a fun, inclusive environment.
WHAT ARE YOUR “SPARKS”?
Just to name a few: skiing, playing guitar, gardening, and camping. I also really enjoy trying new hobbies.
WERE YOU INSPIRED BY AN ADULT MENTOR? HOW?
I am constantly inspired by others. I love hearing a story of a person overcoming adversity to reach more than they thought possible.
