Babysitter Training

Whether you are gearing up to take care of siblings or thinking of making a little extra cash as a babysitter, you won't want to miss this educational and hands-on learning experience.

Youth in 5th-8th grades learn important babysitting skills to include; basic child care, first aid and safety measures, engaging games and activities to play with young children, as well as some food preparation skills. Participants learn job ethics and how to present themselves in a professional manner. Upon successful completion of the course, each participant heads home with:

  • Life-long skills
  • A babysitting resume
  • A certificate of completion
  • Opportunities for babysitting experience at Kids Night Out events

* This training does NOT include pediatric CPR training or certification which can be obtained through the American Red Cross and other providers.

All sessions are on Saturdays, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Location

In-home setting. To simulate a more realistic babysitting experience, this course takes place in the instructor’s home. Participants will have an opportunity to assess for real life home hazards while using critical thinking skills to improvise in an unfamiliar home setting.

The home is located in NW Bend. The exact address will be sent in your confirmation email.

Cost

$99. All reservations include a $10 non-refundable fee.
