Robotics Programs – 2023-2024 School Year

Camp Fire’s after school robotics programs are all about problem solving, getting creative, exploring new ideas, and having fun! From introductory robotics and coding to preparation for competition in a FIRST® LEGO® League team (in fall), these programs build important life-skills, instill confidence, and help kids find their sparks.

Our robotics programs are customized by experience level and age group, with sessions in Bend and Redmond.

Tech Tinker Team | Grades 1-2

Youths with no robotics experience are invited to join Camp Fire to explore and learn all about the world of robotics! We will learn how to use the LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 kit. We will build various fun robotic projects using motors and sensors and then use coding software to animate our robots. 

Three-week sessions offered in Bend and Redmond.

Level Two Robotics | Grades 2-3 and 4-6

Youth with experience with LEGO® Robotics or who have completed a Level 1 program will build an advanced driving base LEGO® robot and program it to perform exciting missions. Campers will learn how to create more complicated programs that utilize sensors and will create their own challenges to overcome.

Three-week sessions, with separate sessions for 2nd-3rd graders and 4th-6th graders.

Bit(e) of Robotics Drop-in | All ages

Want to learn more about what robotics is all about? Drop into our free Bit(e) of Robotics program to play around with different types of robots including the LEGO® robotics as well as other types of robots!

Open to any age and free to all. Don’t be late; these events are first come, first serve.
