Camp Fire Central Oregon | Light the Fire Within

Tech Programs Winter/Spring 2023

Camp Fire offers a variety of opportunities for youth to increase their tech fluency while having fun at the same time. For many youth, robotics and coding are naturally engaging first steps to bridge the gap from being a tech consumer to developing the skills to understand and participate in how the technology actually works.

While we use robotics and coding as forums to build tangible skills in technology, we also focus on social-emotional skills to build confidence, practice collaboration and teamwork, and develop critical thinking and creativity in problem solving.

Please note our winter, spring and summer programs are skill-building programs for youth who want to know more about lego robotics and may be interested in competing on a team one day, or for those who have already competed and want to keep their skills sharp! In the fall, we also offer team-based First® Lego® League Robotics programs, where youth compete regionally and—fingers crossed—at state!

Our Bend-based tech and robotics programs are usually hosted at Samara Learning Center, 230 NE 9th St., Bend, OR 97701. For Samara Learning Center, please use the lower, north parking lot of First Presbyterian Church. We are also offering some of our programs at Camp Fire's office location: Bend Central Co-working, 150 NE Hawthorne Ave, Bend, OR 97701.
