What to Know About the Lottery and Selection Process

  • Signing up for the lottery does NOT guarantee that you will get a spot.
  • Those who have previously participated in Tumalo Day Camp will be prioritized.
  • We do our best to get siblings into the same week, but CANNOT guarantee it.
  • If you get a spot, you will need to register by Thursday, February 13 at midnight, or it will be passed on to the next person.
  • There are 3 weeks of camp. You can sign up for multiple weeks to increase your chances of being selected, however you will only be selected for ONE WEEK of Tumalo Day Camp.
    • Please do not sign up for weeks you cannot attend, as switching weeks may not be possible.
    • IF spaces are available after the lottery, you can register for additional weeks.

Tumalo Day Camp Frequently Asked Questions

You do not need an account to enter the lottery, but you will need one to register if you get a spot. We recommend setting up an account in Ultracamp to prepare for registration. If you do not get a spot, we can put you on the waitlist, but only if you have an account and have added the youth you entered in the lottery to your account.
You will be notified by February 8th via email. If selected, complete registration by February 13th by midnight, or your spot will be passed to the next person on the waitlist. If NOT selected, you’ll be automatically placed on the waitlist if you have an Ultracamp account with all participants added to it. Without an account, you can create one at a later date and add yourself to the waitlist starting February 16 at 4 pm.
If there are spaces available, you can register for additional weeks when public registration opens on February 16 at 4 pm. If no space is available, you can put yourself on the waitlist for additional weeks at that time as well.
If you plan to apply for financial assistance, we recommend you do so before registration opens. You can enter the lottery before you apply, but we recommend getting your application in as early as possible so it will be processed before you need to register.

*All volunteers must pass a background check and attend a full day training.

We strive to make all of our programs available to as many youth as possible, regardless of the ability to pay.

Because we schedule staff, invest in supplies, and plan for expenses based upon the number of youth we are expecting, we must adhere to our cancellation policies.

Most of our fee-based programs require a $10-25 non-refundable fee at registration (unless specifically noted in the program description).

More about cancellation policies.

Don't wait to register! High-quality youth programs are in high demand and Camp Fire programs are kept small to ensure a great adult:youth ratio and create the best learning experience possible. That means space is limited and many sessions sell out quickly. If the program is sold out, please add yourself to the waitlist.
