Camp Fire’s after school robotics programs are all about problem solving, getting creative, exploring new ideas, and having fun! From introductory robotics and coding to preparation for competition in a FIRST® LEGO® League team (in fall), these programs build important life-skills, instill confidence, and help kids find their sparks.
Our robotics programs are customized by experience level and age group, with sessions in Bend and Three Rivers.
Youth in Bend and Three Rivers will hone their skills to prepare for this year’s FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) robotics competition in Central Oregon. Teams meet once a week for 10 weeks to create a functional robot and innovation project to compete in a regional competition. Youth who had at least some experience as well as those with more advanced robotics skills are invited to join a team.
The 2024/25 theme for the FLL competition challenge is SUBMERGED℠. For this challenge, teams will use creative thinking and LEGO® technology to explore the layers of the ocean and bring their learnings and ideas to the surface as they “sea” into the future.
COST: $350. FLL team participants should be prepared for a full commitment to the team and their teammates. Accordingly, there is a $50 non-refundable fee upon registration.
Please note: Additional costs and travel expenses may apply for teams that progress to the state level competition, including costs associated with travel to the competition.

Don't wait to register! High-quality youth programs are in high demand and Camp Fire programs are kept small to ensure a great adult:youth ratio and create the best learning experience possible. That means space is limited and many sessions sell out quickly. If the program is sold out, please add yourself to the waitlist.
Register for a Robotics SessionWe strive to make all of our programs available to as many youth as possible, regardless of the ability to pay.
