No School Day Camps

No school? No problem! Join us for one of our many No School Day Camps this year. Turn that “day off” into a day of creativity and fun! Our trained and professional staff strive to foster an encouraging, respectful environment. Every No School Day Camp is filled with fun games, engaging activities, new friends, and plenty of opportunities to explore and apply a growth mindset. Young people from kindergarten through 6th grade, separated into age appropriate groups, will enjoy our lively, thought-provoking themes.

Spy School

October 23rd, 24th, 25th | Amity Creek Elementary School | $55/day 

Come solve a mystery! Go on a scavenger hunt, find secret clues, and complete exciting spy challenges. Experience an escape room or engineer spy crafts!  Get your detective gear on, and join us for one day or all three! Different activities and challenges will happen each day.

 

Thank You for Your Service

November 11th | Amity Creek Elementary School | $55/day 

Learn about what it means to give service and have fun doing so.  This day, youth will have the opportunity to engage in a service learning project related to veterans within our community and express gratitude to veterans for their sacrifices.

 

Welcome to Hollywood

November 25th, 26th, 27th | Amity Creek Elementary School | $55/day 

Explore the world of movies with us!  Spend the day acting like your favorite movie characters, creating new characters, and imagining plot twists, storylines, and movie sets.  We will even make our own movie and watch it on the final day. Sign up for one day, or join us for all days!

*Note: November 27th is a short day (9 am - 2 pm) with no afternoon extended care options.  This day will be a relaxed opportunity to watch our own movie with popcorn and movie crafts, followed by the showing of another appropriate movie of campers choice (tbd) to help youth settle down before the holiday. $45

 

Winter Wonderland

December 23rd | Samara Learning Center | $55/day 

Celebrate the season with snow themed crafts and some time to play outside in the snow (we hope!)  We will also stay warm with gingerbread projects and other winter related crafts.

 

What's Up in Winter?

December 30th | Samara Learning Center | $55/day 

Learn about what happens in winter...on this day we will explore how plants, animals, and people adapt to life in the winter and what lessons we can take from them.  Get creative and design your own creature with winter adaptations, or write a creative winter tale to tell.

 

The Final Countdown

December 31st | Samara Learning Center | $55/day 

Start the countdown to the New Year early in this fun filled day of New Years and numbers themed crafts, projects and activities. Design a noise maker, make a resolution for 2020, and reflect on your growth and gratitudes for 2019.

 

Time Travelers

January 2nd, 3rd | Samara Learning Center | $55/day 

Travel through time to explore different eras from the age of the dinosaurs to the technological advances of the future!  Bring your imagination and sense of adventure as we go on a wild ride! Travel for just a day, or do both!

 

Helping Hands

January 20th | Amity Creek Elementary School | $55/day 

Let’s take this day to celebrate diversity and the accomplishments of Martin Luther King Jr.  Today will be a day of service. Youth will engage in a service project and discover what it means to give back to their community.

 

Real Life Superheroes

January 31st | Amity Creek Elementary School | $55/day 

Meet a real life superhero within our own community!  This day, we will celebrate everyday people who make our world a better, safer place, such as police officers, fire fighters, and EMT’s.  We will learn about what they do for our community and learn how we can be superheroes in our communities too!

 

How a Bill Becomes a Law

February 17th | Amity Creek Elementary School | $55/day 

Have your say and find out what democracy is all about.  Youth will learn about the parts of government and the election process as we campaign in our own elections to vote for our own character to represent us as No School Day Camp President.  Our mock government will create bills and make our own laws in this educational role play.

 

Pack Your Passport

March 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th | Samara Learning Center | $55/day 

Not heading out of town for Spring Break?  Join Camp Fire for an exploration of the world as we visit a different country each day and learn about cultures around the world.   Travel with us for one day or several days. You will get a stamp in your passport for each country you visit.

 

Nature Protectors

April 8th, 9th, 10th | Amity Creek Elementary School | $55/day 

Be a steward of the natural world and learn what it takes to protect and preserve the oceans, wildlife, and your own environment here in Central Oregon. Get ready to solve some of the world’s biggest problems as a Nature Protector.  Whether you join us for one day or all 3, you can learn to be a Protector everyday!

Program Details:

 

PROGRAM HOURS: 9 am - 3:30 pm

You may drop off anytime between 8:45 and 9 am and pick up between 3:30 pm and 3:45 pm.

 

EXTENDED CARE OPTIONS: $5/option

While our regular programming runs from 9 am to 3:30 pm, we do offer extended care options for those with schedules that run longer than our program.  When you sign up for extended care, you can drop off as early as 7:30 am or pick up as late as 5:30 pm. 

Our flexible options allow you to choose AM or PM extended care by the day, so you are only paying for extended care when you need it.  Separating the extended hours from the program hours is a way to keep the cost down for you and help us manage our staff resources too!

 

WHAT TO BRING: 

Water bottle - labeled with child's name, to make sure your child stays hydrated.

Closed-Toed Shoes - that stay on and will keep your child's feet warm while outside. No flip-flops.

Warm Clothes - We will be going outside even if it is cloudy or raining, no matter the weather, please bring warm and waterproof jacket, hats and gloves.

Lunch & Snacks - We will not be providing lunch or snacks.  With a full day of activities all of our campers get hungry for a snack during the day.  Please pack enough food for your child to stay comfortable all day long.

Don't wait to register... High-quality youth programs are in high demand.  Camp Fire programs are kept small to ensure a great Adult:Youth ratio and create the best learning experience possible.

Space is limited and many sell out quickly!  If the program is sold out, please add yourself to the wait list.

To apply for financial assistance, choose the Financial Assistance option during registration.  You will only pay a small fee to hold your spot while we process your application. If the financial packet we offer does not meet your needs, you will have the opportunity to cancel the reservation without incurring any fees.
