No-School Day Camps

No school? No problem!

No School Day camps turn that “day off” into a day of creativity and fun! From kindergarten through 5th grade, we have you covered on those days Bend/La Pine Schools are out.

Our professional staff fill every No School Day Camp with games and activities to help campers make new friends and explore plenty of opportunities. We separate youth into age-appropriate groups so that each kid is challenged at their individual level.

To keep youth engaged, every No School Day Camp has a fun theme.

Dates and Themes

Registration is for individual days, as many or as few as you need.

October 30-November 1 — Time Travelers!

Let your imagination soar as we travel through time.  Set the dial on your time machine for ancient civilizations or take a trip to the future!  Who knows where else you will go on this wild ride!

November 11 — Veteran’s Day

Campers will embark on an inspiring journey to understand the role of citizenship and service as we honor the contribution of our veterans. Campers will make and hand out thank-you cards during Bend’s annual Veteran’s Day Parade!

November 25-27 — Thanksgiving Break: Balloons Over Broadway!

With this Thanksgiving-themed STEAM camp, youth design their very own Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon, plus take on challenges to keep it floating in the air and code a robot to drive their balloon along the “parade route”! These camp days are complementary, but participants are welcome for any single day, too!

December 23-24— Art Explorers!

This camp is all about the arts! It’s time to get creative and explore a variety of arts and crafts, music and more imaginative fun. Sorry, No School Day Camp will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 25.

December 26-27 — The Secret Life of Pets!

Bake treats, make pet toys, and see the world through the eyes of pets. You can take the treats you make home to share with your furry friends or donate them to a local shelter. Join Camp Fire for one day or both days of this pet-centric camp for a cause!

December 30-31—Winter Sports Science!

Excited to take on some fun winter-themed STEM challenges? Join us to explore science and engineering through the lens of winter sports, such as making a mini-skier that can stand on skis and handle us “sending it” down the ski slopes without falling over!

January 2-3—It’s 3,2, 1…Blast off!

What do you see when you look up into the sky? Why are these the darkest days for our hemisphere? Explore our universe of stars and space as we build spaceships, discover constellations, and create our own aliens.

January 20 — Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Learn about civic engagement and what it means to give service – and have fun doing so! This day, youth will have the opportunity to engage in a service learning project within our community and connect with others by giving back.

January 31 — Game Show Mania

Trivia, riddles and talent await! Test your knowledge, share your talents, and challenge others in the Camp Fire version of some of our favorite game shows. Come on down, you are our next contestant!

February 17 — President’s Day: Rock the Vote!

Have your say and find out what democracy is all about. Youth will learn about the parts of government and election process, campaigning in our mock elections to vote for our own character to represent us as No School Day Camp President.  Through educational role-play, we’ll collaborate on creating our bills and laws, too!

March 24-28 — Pack Your Passports!

Not heading out of town for Spring Break? Travel the world with Camp Fire as we visit a different country each day and learn from cultures around the world. Go global with us for one or more days, earning a stamp in your passport for each country you visit!

April 16-18 — Aspiring Engineers: Take Flight!

Ever wonder what it is that keeps things up in the air? From birds to bats, seeds, kites, and planes, get the down low on how these things defy gravity and stay in the air.

We strive to make all of our programs available to as many youth as possible, regardless of the ability to pay.

Learn about and apply for Financial Assistance.

Because we schedule staff, invest in supplies, and plan for expenses based upon the number of youth we are expecting, we must adhere to our cancellation policies.

Most of our fee-based programs require a $10-25 non-refundable fee at registration (unless specifically noted in the program description).

More about cancellation policies.

Don't wait to register! High-quality youth programs are in high demand and Camp Fire programs are kept small to ensure a great adult:youth ratio and create the best learning experience possible. That means space is limited and many sessions sell out quickly. If the program is sold out, please add yourself to the waitlist.

Read about our registration policies, including making payments, our cancellation policy, and our refund policy.
