Whether you are gearing up to take care of siblings or thinking of making a little extra cash as a babysitter - you won't want to miss this educational, hands-on course!
Boys and girls (5th-8th grades) will learn important babysitting skills including basic child care and first aid, safety measures, safe play with children, food preparation and job ethics. Participants will earn a babysitting certificate at the end of the course.
PROGRAM HOURS: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
LOCATION: In-home setting
To simulate a real babysitting experience, this course takes place in the instructor's home. Participants will have the opportunity to assess the house for hazards and think on their feet about how to improvise in an unfamiliar house. We find this realistic situation enhances the training dramatically.
The home is located in NW Bend. The exact address will be sent in your confirmation email.
