Through the help of the Oregon Community Foundation and community partners, we connect youth with meaningful experiences exploring the outdoors, developing service projects, participating in multi-day retreats and more.

Teen Leadership Retreat: Camp Sealth, Vashon Island, WA   January 12-15, 2018

DO NOT MISS this amazing weekend with Camp Fire Central Puget Sound at the beautiful Camp Sealth on Vashon Island in Washington. For teens 9th-12th grade, this is an incredible opportunity to meet Camp Fire teens from another council, make new friends, and learn valuable leadership skills. Includes leadership workshops, resumé and interview skills, challenge initiatives, conflict and communication strategies, stress and time management techniques, planning strategies, environmental stewardship, sustainability leadership…and, of course, time for fun camp activities! This an especially great opportunity for our former and future CITs!

                                                               Cost: $200 for meals, transportation and programs. Scholarships available!

SERVICE PROGRAMS

Outing Club: First Meeting, January 17th

Are you looking for a little outdoor adventure? Well then this is the club for you. We will be meeting every other week to practice relevant outdoor skills, discuss environmental issues that affect our local community and our recreation opportunities, and plan outings and stewardship projects. As a club member, you will be responsible to help plan all aspects of outings with support from Camp Fire staff, parents, and volunteers. After the first meeting, we will decide as a group on the best time and place for our regular meetings. This club will also meet on other days that are planned and set by the group. *Get $100 off our Spring Break trip as a member of Outing Club! Separate Registration required. Deadlines apply

When: January 17th, 4:30-6:30: First meeting at the Brooks Room, Downtown Library. We will meet at various locations, generally in the downtown area, from January through May.

Transportation provided for outings!

Teen Service Days

This program is a series of unique service projects put on in partnership with other local organizations.  Participants will meet periodically to discuss opportunities for service, with an intention to plan monthly projects that span a wide range of activities.  Projects will be organized by participants and Camp Fire staff, with support from parents, and other volunteers.  Projects will typically be on weekends or no school days, with some afternoons or evenings.

Service Days are open to participants in the 6th grade and above.
